Moving forward

Happy New Year!

Tteokguk (rice cake soup) is a traditional New Year's Day dish in Korea. Koreans offer tteokguk to their ancestors on New Year's Day and eat with family members.

Koreans believe that people grow one year older only after they have eaten a bowl of rice cake soup on New Year’s. Thus, the question “How many bowls of rice cake soup have you eaten?” to a Korean means “How old are you?”

I wish you lots of creative energy and inspiration in the new year!

 Korea Textile Tour 2017

is over and I am safely back home now. The tour went well and I was fortunate to have such a wonderful group of travel companions! We visited many places, ate lots of good food and built strong friendships during our stay in Korea in October. Thank you very much to everyone who participated this year!

As I unpacked my bags, I realized that I carried lots of memories, rich culture and inspiration with me. These will encourage me to keep being creative.

I spent a few more days after the tour to scout more places to visit in 2018. Our KTT team will announce details about 2018 tour soon. Please stay tuned!
