We started early this year! Bojagi

Setting my alarm, getting up at 5am, leaving home at 6am.....

Traffic wasn't that bad even on the Bay bridge. This is a good sign!

Ms. Hong's 3rd grade students came in and I met 17 curious faces :)

Put two pieces of fabrics together, running stitch, tie a knot....

One hour passed like a flash and I moved to the next classroom across the hallway.

Hmm, familiar faces but they all grew at least an inch taller!

Soon Ms. Lee's classroom was packed with 35 kids and we all knew our drill :)

Bokjumoni making is the first project for older students.

Ms. Yun, 6th grade teacher came and helped out with another parent volunteer.

For 6th graders, sewing was a piece of cake! They all know what to do and most of them are half way done by the end of the class.

One more reason I like San Francisco is meeting these kids for next 12 weeks!

If you are curious why they are learning bojagi in the middle of the class, visit their website.
