The simple version of the bookmaking-only class will be offered soon with Tatter in March or April.
When I read in my bed, I sometimes read a book to fall asleep faster. But this book, This Long Thread, by Jen Hewett, made me stay up recently.
I have to admit, there's a part that Jen interviewed me, but other crafters' interviews and essays are more fascinating. I filled the survey when Jen started to ask crafters and makers of color about their experiences in 2019. I thought that was the way that I can add my voice as a maker, a crafter, and a woman of color. However, when Jen asked me if she could interview me, I was thrilled and scared at the same time. The interview was my first ever meeting and talking via Zoom. Fast forward and now I am reading a little bit of this book every night (like savoring something precious and delicious). This is not just a pretty craft book, it's rather serious about things that some people don't want to talk about. However, I wish I could share this treasure with you.
Korea textile Tour 2022
I am still checking and thinking about all the options for the Korea Textile Tour 2022. Please stay with me and be patient. I will make a decision and announce it in the next newsletter.
Stay well!
