Is it already February?

Hello from Korea, again

I hope you started your 2026 with creative energy! My January has been busy, with many projects and tight deadlines. I’ve just arrived in Korea to visit my mom, I’m happy to see that she is doing well. Winter here feels quite different from Northern California, so I packed my winter jacket, gloves, hat, and warm boots. From my mom’s living room window, I’ve been enjoying the view of snow-covered field and mountains. I plan to savor these two weeks of quiet time with her before returning to very busy schedule.

As I announced in January,  I will be one of the international organizers for the Chaedamjung Monthly Projects . New projects for 2026 will be released on a monthly basis. I will return home with the project kits, and we will begin the program in March 2026. Each month, 10 spots will be available, and registration will open through my monthly newsletter.
For each project, you will receive a material kit shipped to you, along with access to Chaedamjung’s original instructional video (in Korean). I will also host a 1–2 hour Zoom session (in English) so we can work on the project together.

You may sign up for all 12 projects or choose individual projects month by month.
The cost is $60 per project, or $600 for all 12 projects, including shipping (U.S. shipping only).

Korea Textile Tour 2026

Korea Textile Tour 2026 will take place from October 11-October 21, 2026. Registration will open on Sunday, February 8, 2026, with priority given to my Future Interest Group. You will be asked to fill out a Google Form, and after I review the submissions, I will send a $500 USD non-refundable deposit invoice to those who will participate in the 2026 tour.

I’m happy to share that there is another opportunity to travel Korea with me in this autumn. I will be leading a textile tour focused on natural dye studies for Kathy Hattori’s Botanical Colors community. This tour is longer than my annual tour and will include a larger number of participants.
I believe there are still a few spots available, so if you are interested, contact Botanical Colors for more information.
