Book project

2024 has been an incredibly busy year filled with travel and meaningful connections with like-minded people. Writing a book had been a long-held dream and I feel so fortunate to have made it a reality!
2024년은 워크샵 여행을 하며 맘이 맞는 분들과의 의미 있는 교류로 가득 찬 바쁜 한 해였습니다. 오랫동안 간직해 온 책을 쓰는 꿈을 이루게 되어 행복하기도 했습니다!

I have realized this accomplishment is a fruit of love and support you've given me. Without your encouragement, I couldn't have completed this project-thank you!

이런 성과는 많은 분들의 사랑과 격려없이는 이루어질 수 없었지요. 정말 고맙습니다!

Longer stay in Korea

November and December are usually my downtime to spend with family. This year, however, brought unexpected challenges. As many of you know, my husband was diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer last November during a routine check-up in Seoul. We decided to stay in Korea for treatment, and he was fortunate to receive excellent medical care and undergo surgery in December. He’s now recovering and working on regaining his strength. Your love and support during this time have been our greatest source of strength, and we are deeply grateful. Thank you!
During his hospitalization, surgery, and recovery, I kept myself busy with knitting. Staying creative was a tremendous help to me during this time.

한국서 겨울나기

제게 11월과 12월은 보통 가족과 함께하며 휴식을 취하는 시간입니다. 그러나 올해는 예상치 못한 도전을 맞이하게 되었습니다. 지난 11월, 서울에서의 정기 건강검진 중 남편이 초기 전립선암 진단을 받았습니다. 저희는 한국에 머물며 치료를 받기로 결정했고, 남편은 다행히 훌륭한 의료 서비스를 받고 12월에 수술을 받을 수 있었습니다. 현재는 수술 후 회복 중이며 체력을 되찾기 위해 노력하고 있습니다.

이 기간 동안 많은분들께서 보내주신 사랑과 응원은 저희에게 큰 힘이 되었습니다. 진심으로 감사드립니다!

남편의 입원과 수술, 회복 기간 동안 저는 원없이 뜨개질을 하며 시간을 보냈습니다. 무언가를 만들고 마음을 다스리는 창작은 저에게 큰 위로와 힘이 되었습니다.

Pop-Up Project in Seoul

Since I’ll be in Korea until mid-February, I wanted to plan something fun while I’m here! Seong Ok and I are excited to host "Double Happiness with oQamoQa 2024"—pop-up sewing classes on January 10 and January 18, 2025. If you’d like to join us, please fill out the Google form below. These are in-person events, so you’ll need to be able to attend in Seoul. We can’t wait to see you there!

Korea Textile Tour 2025

The registration form will be sent to the tour interest group on Sunday, January 5, 9 AM, Korea time. One hour later, I will open to all at 10 AM, Korea time.
