Finishing up the 'Strokes and Stitches' piece when the Quiltfolk team visited my studio

One thing is done!

June was a super busy month for me and I am glad to tell you that I am done writing my first book! It will take more time before we see the published book but I hope I can tell you that good news sometime in 2024.

I was interviewed by Quiltfolk in March and issue 27: California Bay Area includes my interview is out now.
I was so surprised and grateful to be a part of the issue.
If you are curious about my part or other quilt artists' stories in the Bay Area, you can use this code to get a discount.

Thank you for attending Heehwa Jo's Korean embroidery class in June!  I was happy to offer a chance to learn about Korean embroidery with this wonderful teacher and artist, Heehwa. We are going to offer more embroidery classes in the future so please stay tuned.

My July is packed with online and in-person classes and I can't wait to meet many of you and new faces. I also signed up for a persimmon dye class to enrich myself. I will update you with my result next month.

Recently I finished reading the book, The Golden Thread by Kassia St. Clair.
And my interest moved on to this book, The Fabric of Civilization by Virginia I. Postrel.
My next read will be Dress History of Korea by Kyunghee Pyun and Minjee Kim.
The Korea Society of New York will have a live webcast with these two authors on July 13th, 2023. If you are interested, here's the link where you can view the live webcast:

I am going to participate in the exhibit, Bojagi Journey, that Patti King curates at the Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Art Museum in La Conner, WA. If you are near, please visit the museum between July 26- October 8.

Hope you all have a wonderful and creative summer!
