Greetings from Seoul, Korea!

Hello from Korea! And happy Chuseok!

Earlier in September, I packed again and headed for Saint Louis, MO, to lead the 'Community Bojagi project' with Gateway Korea Foundation and Saint Louis Art Museum. After 5 weeks of family day events, our community bojagi became a big piece of artwork with the full energy of happiness. With everybody's participation and enthusiasm, I was able to finish and share this community bojagi with many museum visitors. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The exhibit 'Bojagi Journey 2023' was curated by Patti King and is now showing at the Pacific Northwest Quilts & Fiber Museum in La Conner, WA.
My piece, 'Sheer and Layer,' is a part of this exhibit. Miran Lee and I went to visit the exhibit and attended the artists' gathering. And I was able to meet many wonderful artists and art enthusiasts. I was overwhelmed by hospitality and generosity while I was visiting the Whidbey Island. I promised myself that I would come back to this beautiful Whidbey Island again!

The day before I traveled to Korea, I attended the de Young Open Artist Preview Day event. The gallery was filled with artists who participated in this show and I was able to spot my fellow fiber artists's work in the exhibit. I came back home with creative energy! My recent work, 'Strokes and Stitches,' (#848) is located in the last room of the exhibit. The exhibit opens on September 30, 2023-January 7, 2024.
