Goebul norigae, a small triangular shape decorated with colorful thread, is considered a good luck charm as the three points can cast out or ward off misfortune or evil spirits. Mothers make these and have their children wear them for protection. Norigae is a traditional Korean accessory for women that is tied on the waistband of a chima (skirt) or goreum (a single bowed sash of a jeogori, a short jacket). I made a few of these so I can wear them as an accessory or attach to my purse, to keep myself happy and lucky.
