Pine nut decorated bojagi Default Category

Well, what did I do last month? I looked through my postings and seems like I am having too much fun :) Last week, I injured my index finger and this kept me from so many things including sewing.... It's no fun at all! Yesterday, I finally able to do some work and finished this bojagi.

My friend Minjee who is going to give a lecture at the Getty center in May wanted to have a picture of this technique/ decoration. So I made one that she can use as a reference. small triangle shaped decoration is called, pine nut and made out of 1/2" square of fabrics. Fold square in to a triangle and fold from two sides to make this shape.

And secured using se ttam sang chim (3 decorateive stiches).

Red and dark green reminds me of my first hanbok when I got married. (This is a color combination for married woman, I guess)

Pasta party for Eden Road Divas Life

I only made a big bowl of Japchae..... But Jean made 2 chicken dishes, 2 pastas and 2 different sweets! Each Eden ride leaders made food for tonight. It has been a lucky year that we were able to finish all 10 training rides. We started with 12 miles ride and our longest ride was 55 miles! Now we are ready for our 65 mile ride on Saturday! Tonight was our pasta feed party for our new divas. Carla and Saul opened their beautiful house for us.

We all were busy sharing our training moments, enjoying good foods and savoring our friendships.

We also had a special moments for Peggy and Jim who lost their son in Afghanistan.... Peggy is one of my favorite riding buddies and Jim is our beloved SAG! He is always on the road with us at training rides.

Here are our Divas 2013! I was privileged to design new jersey and t-shirts. Luckily they turned out nicely and I was relieved :)

Some couldn't come but I am sure we all will rule the road on Saturday! If you see us on the road, please cheer for us! Another 12 weeks of training season was over but I got more friends who love bike riding!
