Summer is here already?

During May, I spent my time working on both ongoing projects and new ideas. My stitch resource samples are slowly taking their spots in my studio. After my first Facebook Live stream last month, I did my second one as a part of the group, I MARATON COVID-19. I gave a talk about bojagi and demonstrated Yeouijumun technique. After that, I have so many international friends on Facebook and we share our common passion.
Even though we can't go outside to meet people, there was a way to be connected and communicate with others! I see many people use Zoom for business meetings, classes, and just catch up with friends. At first, I wasn't keen about using a virtual platform but the more I use it, the better I get at using this tool. Now I've made a few more self-recorded videos, written instructions, and project kits, to offer online classes.

Korea Textile Tour 2020 has been postponed to May 2021 and October 2021. As everything starts to reopen, we are anxious to get back to what life looked like before this pandemic, but there are many things we have to consider before we can actually go back to our daily routine. I decided that Korea Textile Tour needs more time to make sure it is safe enough for every participant and myself.

Recipe of the month
돼지불고기 Dwaeji bulgogi (Spicy pork)

1 LB Sliced pork (I like pork shoulder but pork belly is fine, too)
1 Onion-thinly sliced
2 Scallion- roughly chopped

Marinate sauce-mix these all
2 TBS Korean red chili pepper paste (gochujang)
1 TBS Korean red chili pepper flakes (gochugaru)
2 TBS soy sauce
2 TBS rice wine (or mirin)
2 TBS sugar or honey
1 TBS sesame oil
3-4 cloves minced garlic
1 TBS grated ginger
 black pepper for flavor

Marinate meats, onion, and scallions for 30 min.-1 hr.
Grill or stir fry until pork is fully cooked. Serve with rice and lettuce.
