I am going to teach Korean cooking class as a part of Castro Valley Adult School program.

I have to admit this will be a quite challenge for me since I don't have a culinary background.

But I love food and enjoy cooking and having people over (occasionally, not always though :)

I made a list of foods that I will teach, ingredients list that I will shop for the class.

One of my cycling friend, Brenda who lives in Castro Valley area saw this class information and asked me if I am going to teach how to make kimchi!

Well, that will be my next course to teach then!

If you are interested in Korean food, here are some resources.

I got a DVD set named 'Kimchi Chronicle' form my friend. Korean woman, Marja who was adopted by an American parents fell in love with a French chef. They got married and made lots of authentic Korean dishes and French twisted fusion dishes using Korean food ingredients.

The episodes started with Wolverine!

Hugh Jackman, his wife (Deb),  Marja and Jean-Georges make Bibimbap and Bulgogi.

These two couples are real-life neighbors and prepare and share Korean foods together.

Another very interesting site is 'Cooking with Maangchi'.

She is a Youtube star who posted her cooking video and became a food professional.

Her video is fun, easy and mouthwatering.
